Supply Lists for Back to School

Tom Kitayama Elementary School Supply List 2009-10 The following are suggested items that you may purchase to help support the classroom curriculum. This is optional.

 KINDERGARTEN
FOR CLASSROOM USE
•12 Avery glue sticks
•1 dozen Ticonderoga pencils
•1 four ox. Bottle of Elmers Glue
• 1 box of Kleenex
BOYS BRING:
•1 ream colored Xerox paper
•1 box - 1 quart Ziploc zipper slider Bags
•1 box Crayola fine tip markers
•1 tub of baby wipes
• 1 box EXPO thin (fine) tip dry erase markers
GIRLS BRING:
•1 ream white Xerox paper
•1 box – 1 gallon Ziploc zipper slider bags
•1 box Crayola broad tip markers
•1 large bottle of hand sanitizer
• 1 box EXPO broad tip markers

FIRST GRADE
FOR CLASSROOM USE
• Wide tip Expo brand whiteboard markers
CB-CRAYOLA BRAND:
• 1 box CB colored pencils
• 1  box CB thick markers
• 1 box CB thin markers
• 1 dozen #2 pencils
• 1 roll of scotch tape
• 6-10 glue sticks
• Antibacterial Wipes
• 1 bottle hand sanitizer
• 2 boxes of facial tissue
• 1 box  of gallon or sandwich size  ziploc bags
• Two 2-pocket folders
• 1 ream of white or colored copy paper

 SECOND GRADE
FOR CLASSROOM USE
•Wide tip whiteboard markers-1 pkg.
•1 ream of white or color copy paper
•2 composition books (9-3/4  x 7-1/2)
•Crayola brand thick markers – 1 pkg.
•Crayola brand thin markers – 1 pkg.
•Twelve Avery glue sticks
• Two 3-prong folders with pockets
•antibacterial hand wipes and/or One bottle of hand sanitizer
•2 boxes facial tissue
•1 box each of gallon and quart size Ziploc Brand bags

•Dictionary and Thesaurus

FOURTH GRADE
FOR PERSONAL USE
•Sturdy, three-ring binder 1-1/2” with
metal rings, not plastic. (NO Trapper
Keepers or huge fabric binders please.)
with wide-ruled, 100 sheets loose-leaf binder paper
•1 pencil pouch (to be carried in the binder)
•6 - No. 2  pencils (just to begin)
•2 erasers (one small; one large)
•Box of 8 (or more) colored markers (washable).  wide and/or thin would be great!
•1 highlighting  marker
•Box of 12 (or more) colored  pencils
•1 glue stick
•Reinforcements

 THIRD GRADE

•Colored highlighters (yellow, green and pink)

•Liquid Soap

FOR HOME USE
Your child should have the following materials available for use at home:  pencils, binder paper, scissors, Dictionary and Thesaurus, crayons and/or markers, construction paper, glue, ruler, variety of reading materials (books, magazines, newspapers…) and a library card.
