Kitayama's Science Specialist Awarded Mini-Grant for Go Green Science Club

KitayamaElementary School science specialist Legratta Banks received a mini-grant of $2,635, for the school’s Go Green Science Club, designed to generate eco-conscience among students, staff and community. The club will help keep the school clean and spearhead recycling and beautification projects.


The New Haven Schools Foundation last week completed the delivery of more than $8,000 worth of mini-grants to New Haven teachers, through the Foundation’s annual “Innovations in Education” to support special classroom projects. Winning projects this year primarily focus on science and math.
