The Kitayama Read-A-Thon begins next week, and runs for the whole week of March, in honor of Dr. Seuss! Download the reading log calendar below to record your total minutes read for the day.

  • Kindergarten: 15-30 minutes
  • 1st and 2nd grade: 20-40 minutes
  • 3rd, 4th and 5th grade: 30-60 minutes

Over 70 families showed up on January 29th to enjoy a wealth of math activities. Topics covered were problem solving activities with Ms. Banks, Chromebooks with Ms. Debono, gumdrop structures with Ms. Tran, math facts with Mr. Muñoz, scavenger hunt with Ms. Marquez, and book making with Ms. Roberts. Special thanks to the Logan volunteers for helping out, Ms. Tarantino, Ms, Frye and Ms. Vranjes for adding additional support, and to our fabulous custodial staff! Please do not park and leave your car in the drop off zone.

Please do not park in the disabled parking spots unless you have a placard.

Please remember that supervision on campus begins at 7:45. If you are dropping off your children before 7:45, you must stay with them until supervision begins, unless they attend morning Kids First.

It was standing room only at the Winter Concert this Wednesday Night. Our own Kitayama Bears performed their hearts out with voices, drums, recorders and even ukeleles! Parents and teachers joined in, snapping photos, and snapping up bake sale treats to the tune of more than $400, all of which goes toward our school's music program.
