Come and join us for our Multi-cultural pot luck night on March 26th from 6 to 8 pm. The night is sure to be a great opportunity to visit with families from Kitayama. Along with great food, we will also have entertainment, including our Kityama choirs and recorders.

To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday this month, Kitayama held a Read Across America Family Night! On March 3rd, 2010, guest readers and speakers included local dignitaries, authors and celebrities! Thanks to all of those that made this magical night possible!

We are excited to announce our first ever PTA sponsored “Dance-A-Thon” fund raiser, which will be held during the first week of February to raise money for our school.  These funds are necessary to purchase basic classroom supplies due to the on-going State Budget reductions.  All students will dance for 30 minutes, during their regularly scheduled PE class.  We encourage you to support your children and our school by pledging them for this event.  You can either pledge per minute of dancing or a flat fee.  Checks should be made payable to Kitayama PTA.< Read More… »»

All are invited to attend the annual Winter Contert this Wednesday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kitayama Multi-purpose room.

Please help with the donation of baked goods. Homemade baked goods are preferred. Please bring items for the sale to the office the morning of the 9th. All proceeds of the bake sale benefit the Kitayama Music Program.

Arrive early and enjoy a pre-concert bake sale from 6:30 to 7:00 pm. Bake sale continues immediately following the Winter Concert.

This week, Channel 7 news was here to tape our third graders receiving dictionaries.  Here is the link to view the story.  It was very impressive to hear the students talk about how they use dictionaries for editing and publishing.  It was all unscripted too!  Thanks to our 3rd grade team!  They should be very proud of their work on writing workshop!
