Due to recent safety issues, we are reposting the traffic and safety reminders from the monthly newsletter.  In order to keep our students safe as they arrive and depart school, please follow these guidelines:

• Please do not park in any red zones especially by the gate to the Kindergarten play area because it impedes the entrance/exit of safety vehicles.

Kitayama Elementary School presents a Winter Concert

December 8th at 7 p.m. in the Kitayama Multi-purpose Room

4th-5th grade recorder ensemble

All families are welcome to join us for this event!

Baked goods will also be on sale to benefit the school!

Winter break is coming up, but please remind your students that there are still 2 weeks of school, and lots of work to do! School will be closed from Monday, December 20 until Friday, December 31. School will resume on Monday, January 3rd. Kitayama teachers and staff want to wish all of our Kitayama families an enjoyable and relaxing vacation and a happy new year!

The  “Harvest Hustle Jog-A-Thon” will be on Friday, October 8th to raise money for our school.  All monies will be spent on field trips, assemblies, student awards and other special events.  All students will run/walk for 30 minutes.  You can either pledge per lap or a flat fee.  Please make checks payable to Kitayama Elementary.  Read More… »»

It is school policy that all students line up on the playground in the morning. Parents are welcome to line up with their children in the assigned areas. This is school policy, because we care about the safety of our staff and students. Thank you for complying with this simple, but important policy.
