Dear Parents/Guardians,

Under a new state law, admission ages are changing for children entering kindergarten.
The new law is being phased in over a three-year period, starting at the beginning of the
2012-13 school year.

We would like to bring this information to your attention and, as a future or current
parent of a New Haven Unified School District student, also ask you to inform your
relatives and friends of the changes.

Come join us for our Multi-Cultural Potluck night on Friday, March 16th. The night is always a great opportunity to visit with families from Kitayama, eat some delicious food, enjoy entertainment and participate in our annual Silent Auction. We look forward to seeing you all there! In addition to great food and fun, the school choir, several members of the student body and a magician will be providing entertainment for the evening. We'll be having our Family Math Night on Wednesday, January 25th from 6:00 - 7:00. 
This will be a fun hands- on math learning night lead by our very own wonderful teacher facilitators.  The format will be rotation stations for all grades K-5 with a focus on these math strands:  Number Sense, Algebra/Functions.
